Today, we’re starting a “Required Jams for Umphreaks” daily post. Every day, we’re going back in time to expose folks to some of our favorites improvisational explosions, jammiest of Jimmys, awesomest of the archive material. We picked a team favorite for the first entry, “Robot World > Jimmy Stewart > Crooked 1” from July 6th, 2005!
As part of the Big Summer Classic tour, Umphrey’s is also sorta playing Summerfest at this show in Milwaukee, a midwestern throwdown which starts off swinging – an excellent transitional jam appearance with Keller Williams segues into a benchmark setting Divisons, then diving into this Roboto > Stewart > Crooked insanity. This show ABSOLUTELY is required listening for any Umphreak, we are going to feature it in an upcoming podcast at some point in the future – see if we can get some opinions from the band on it.
